I discovered my passion for art in second grade, when my teacher allowed her students to draw and paint while listening to classical music. In art, I found a new world, and as a child, I escaped to it often.
But as an adult, new priorities emerged in my life – college, marriage, children, career – and my desire to paint was placed on a shelf behind other responsibilities.
Today, my children, Andrea and Adam, are grown and I work part-time with my husband, Stephen, in his architectural firm. This has allowed me more time to follow creative pursuits, such as painting and writing.
My preferred medium is acrylic paints, which I use on canvas, watercolor and yupo paper.
I have shown my work in various places around Northwest Arkansas, and I hope to see you at a show soon!
